In celebration of its 2013 National Safety Awareness Day, ValleyCrest Landscape Companies rewarded four of its safe employees with new trucks.
ValleyCrest has been awarding employees new trucks for 11 years with a total of 55 trucks being given away.
The goal behind the giveaway is to help the company reinforce safety in the workplace and encourage employees to perform throughout the year accident free.
Approximately 3,400 employees from four safety regions in the U.S. were eligible for the drawing for a new truck.
Those employees that qualified had to complete one year of service with no accidents and to be employed by a branch that meets or exceeds the company’s safety standards.
The four new truck winners for 2013 include:
Carlos Bolainez, an Equipment Operator in the Golf Course Maintenance Division in Anaheim Hills, California, who’s been with the company for eight years.
Juan Lozano Vega, an Irrigation Technician in the Maintenance Division at the Denver South branch in Parker, Colorado, who’s been with the company for three years.
Alejandro Velez, a Gardener in the Maintenance Division at the Lake Buena Vista branch in Orlando, Florida, who’s been with the company for six years.
Irais Hernandez Delfin, a Crew Leader in the Maintenance Division at the North Port branch in Englewood, Florida, who’s been with the company for five years.
Landscapers use a variety of attachments for doing everything from snow removal to jobsite cleanup, and regardless of how often they are used, every landscaper has a favorite attachment.
