The famous golden arches of McDonalds can been seen around the world. However, one McDonalds is showing a little green through its famous arches.

One McDonalds in Jurong Central Park in Singapore has rolled out a large green roof on its building.

The restaurant is located in an 80-hectare regional park comprised of wetland and wildlife, according to Inhabitat.

The Elmich green roof protects the roof from UV exposure and the VersiDrain 25P water retention and drainage trays store water to help provide nutrition for plants.

The roof helps save on energy consumption by reducing air conditioning and reduces the Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE).
