The Irrigation Association has launched its certified irrigation technician exam.
The organization is offering the exam at a reduced rate on CIT paper/pencil exam registrations that are received by March 31, 2014.
Irrigation technicians:
- Know the limitations of different piping systems and understand basic hydraulics.
- Layout and install piping and water delivery components; backflow prevention components; mechanical, hydraulic and electrical irrigation controls; and other irrigation system components.
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components and systems.
Irrigation Association members can pay $150 for the CIT exam and nonmembers can pay $250.
