Officials broke ground on The Bucks County Global War on Terror Memorial, which is the latest EP Henry HeroScaping project, located at the Bucks County Courthouse.
The memorial, which is sponsored by Doylestown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 175, the memorial will honor the lives of the Armed Forces lost in the war on terrorism.
EP Henry is donating all of the hardscaping products through its HeroScaping program, the company’s Active Military and Veterans Donation Program.
The memorial is expected to be completed in May and is designed to resemble a globe.
The interior of the globe will tell the stories of those memorialized, while the exterior will depict the war itself.
The memorial will honor 21 Bucks County natives of the Armed Forces who lost their lives in the line of duty:
· 15 United States Army Soldiers
· Four United States Marines
· One who served in both the Marines and Army
· One who served in both the Marines and Navy
Launched in 2012, EP Henry’s HeroScaping program has contributed more than $325,000 in materials, labor and monetary contributions to military-related projects and organizations.
