PLANET, Bayer create joint initiative to focus on the future of lawn care

The creation of a new partnership between PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network and the Bayer CropScience’s Environmental Science division emerged during January’s inaugural FutureScape meeting.

The multi-year initiative will focus on revealing the importance of the lawn care industry to customers. The groups will share environmental and economic data to achieve their goal.

Futurist.com moderated the three-day meeting in Coral Gables, Florida. It featured interactive sessions and team presentations on topics such as energy, technology and regulation as well as networking opportunities.

“This initial FutureScape meeting gave me a new perspective on how I think about the future of our industry,” says Jennifer Lemcke, chief operating officer, Weed Man USA. “After this meeting, it is clear that the only way we as lawn care professionals can accomplish our goals in a changing marketplace is to proactively work together as an industry to address priority trends and needs.”
