ASV LLC, a joint venture between Manitex International Inc. and Terex Inc. that manufactures compact track loaders and skid steers, has introduced a new CTL, the RT-75. The large-frame, radial-lift machine is equipped with ASV’s patented “Posi-Track” undercarriage, which, according to the manufacturer, provides the industry’s highest ground clearance, lowest ground pressure, best traction and longest track life.
Boasting highly efficient hydraulics and a high-capacity cooling system, the company says, the ASV RT-75 is ideal for landscaping and snow removal.
“ASV is on a mission to revolutionize the compact track loader market,” said Jim DiBiagio, the company’s general manager.
The RT-75 was designed to be the highest all-around performing machine in ASV’s large-frame class – 75 to 95 horsepower machines.
“We use high-quality components from well-known suppliers – Cummins engines, Bosch drive pumps and motors, and Interstate batteries, to name a few,” DiBiagio said.
The RT-75 Posi-Track rubber track suspension is a dual-level suspension of both wheels and axles, ASV says, enabling the machine to handle every type of terrain and at faster speeds. The suspended wheels and flexible track conform to the ground, assuring maximum traction, the company says, adding that multiple wheel contact points and triple-guide lugs enable the CTL to perform well on steep slopes.
The RT-75 comes standard with 18-inch-wide tracks, resulting in a ground pressure of 3.6 psi. Optional 20-inch tracks lower ground pressures to 3.2 psi. The new CTL has nearly 15 inches of ground clearance.
ASV says its two-year, 1,500-hour track warranty leads the industry.
The RT-75 is powered by a Cummins 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine. The 75-horsepower engine produces 221 ft.-lbs. of torque – 13 percent more than the machine’s 80-horsepower predecessor, the PT-80, ASV says.
The new CTL achieves Tier 4 Final compliance using a diesel oxidation catalyst that, according to the manufacturer, requires no regeneration, no sensors, no diesel exhaust fluid, less wiring and no additional maintenance.
ASV says the RT-75 was designed with serviceability in mind, including easy access to the engine through a three-panel hood and tilting cooler arrangement. Paired with sight gauges for both hydraulic oil and coolant, the design simplifies routine inspections of filters, oil and normal service items. The rearward tilting cab provides easy accessibility when further service is required, the company says.
The RT-75’s auxiliary hydraulic system includes 35.7 gpm high flow and 3,300 psi.
The machine features a rated operating capacity of 2,650 pounds and a tipping load of 7,571 pounds. It is 70 inches wide and has a 126-inch lift height.
Using standard joystick controls, the RT-75 comes with an optional all-weather cab that includes heat and air-conditioning and is pressurized for a clean operator environment.
