Amerlux says it hopes to attract the attention of both designers and grounds managers for universities, healthcare centers, office parks and other commercial and institutional customers with its new “Lunetta” line of pedestrian lighting.

The company says Lunetta lighting aesthetics suggest “a glowing light stick” combined with the utilitarian form of a post-top lantern.

“The beauty of Lunetta lies in its simplicity, breaking from convention by unifying both the head and post to become illuminated as one for a completely unique look in the exterior lighting landscape,” said Chuck Campagna, Amerlux CEO.

The luminaire’s top cap is equipped with recessed high-performance LEDs aimed downward, grazing the top and pole with a gradating lighting effect. The light distribution at ground level delivers soft illumination appropriate for entry roadways, plazas, pedestrian paths and sidewalks. The new line accommodates mounting heights from 16 inches to 24 feet.

Amerlux says the Lunetta is an energy efficient product and its associated uplight contribution is minimal.
