ASV Holdings Inc., a manufacturer of compact track loaders and skid steers, says that its new radial-lift Posi-Track RT-120 is the largest and most powerful compact track loader in the industry.

The RT-120 is designed to handle a number of tasks from excavation to mulching and features ASV’s patented Posi-Track undercarriage that allows for versatility on all surfaces with its 15-inch ground clearance, low ground pressure and good traction.

It comes standard with 18-inch-wide tracks and has a ground pressure of 4.4 psi, but customers can opt for 20-inch tracks if they wish. Also, the dual-level suspension helps the CTL achieve faster speeds across all terrains.

It can handle steep slopes well thanks to its multiple wheel contact points and three guide lugs, compared to the typical one or two guide lugs on other machines. The RT-120 comes with a two-year, 1,500-hour track warranty.

The RT-120 is powered by a Cummins 3.8-liter, turbocharged diesel engine and produces 360 foot-pounds of torque. It has a rated operating capacity of 3,535 pounds and a tipping load of 10,100 pounds. It is 71 inches wide and has a 125-inch lift height.

“The RT-120 is quite simply the largest, most powerful and highest performing compact track loader ever built,” said Jim DiBiagio, ASV chief operating officer. “We designed the machine for the toughest jobs so our customers achieve maximum productivity and profitability. The unit is part of our new lineup of compact track loaders revolutionizing the market with high-quality components, convenient serviceability and overall efficiency, power and performance.”

Its auxiliary hydraulic system has 45 gpm high flow and 4,060 psi. It uses larger line sizes, hydraulic coolers and direct-drive pumps to maximize horsepower efficiency while running attachments like brush cutters and mulching heads.

The machine comes with a pressurized cab for a clean operator environment, and heating and air-conditioning is optional.

ASV designed several features that either remove or ease the amount of maintenance needed. While being Tier 4 Final, the RT-120 doesn’t use a DPF system, but a diesel oxidation catalyst that requires no additional maintenance or filter replacement.

Operators can also access the engine by a three-panel hood and tilting cooler arrangement. Sight gauges for both hydraulic oil and coolant, make checking normal service items simple.

ASV offers road profiling and heavy-duty forestry options for the RT-120, with the forestry model coming with metal guarding around the lights and rear screen.

“We strive to provide equipment our customers can use for the toughest jobs, no matter the conditions,” said Bill Wake, ASV director of product development. “We’re always committed to maximum performance with no compromises and the powerful RT-120 doesn’t disappoint.”
