Circular design creates illusion of more space
Private condominium residence, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
Landscaping designed and installed by The Elysian Design and Landscape Group, Keego Harbor, Michigan

Limited space and a heavily angled ascent to a boulder privacy wall that the original developer installed were sticking points to this landscape. The customer wanted the area filled, so The Elysian Design and Landscape Group used a design that created the illusion of more space. A variety of ferns, azaleas, rhododendrons, clethra, geraniums and witchazels helped complete the look.

Landscapers create a ‘sweet retreat’
Private residence, Cromwell, Indiana
Landscaping designed and installed by homeowner, owner of Landscaping Nature’s Way, Cromwell, Indiana

Greg and Sharon Rex, owners of Landscaping Nature’s Way, created this “sweet retreat” outdoor living area to entertain guests and to show clients what could be done for them at their own homes. Red Colorado patio and patio select stones were used, and the large stone table in the kitchen area, ceiling fan and soft cushions give the area a Mediterranean feel. The large outcropping steps that lead off the patio with stone steppers in the lawn bring possible clients from the owners’ greenhouse.
