Grapple enhances skid steer versatility
Northshore Manufacturing’s Builtrite SSG line of grapples enhances the material-handling capability of skid-steer loaders. Available in two sizes with openings of 36 and 48 inches, the SSG grapples combines strength and performance with light weight (440 pounds and 490 pounds, respectively). The SG line fits all major skid steer brands and offers standard 360-degree rotation.


Replace hand labor crew with a landscape rake
Erskine’s Stone Dawg landscape rake removes small- to medium-sized rock as small as 3/4 of an inch, as well as unwanted roots and debris. The rake also breaks up lumpy soil while grading, leveling and scarifying to prepare the soil for a one-step process and features adjustable side skids for setting depths and a hydraulic top cover to easier dumping.


Augers available in all sizes and torque ranges
Danuser offers a full line of augers with 24 drive units to choose from. Models range from 6 to 60 gpm and 1,500 to 5,000 psi. Tool torque ratings range from 1,039 to 8,759 foot-pounds. You can choose a 2-inch hex or round or 29/16-inch round output spindle, with diameters ranging from 4 to 48 inches.


Laser grading box saves time, improves accuracy
The Level Best laser grading box automatically finishes up to 1⁄8-inch accuracy on landscape grading jobs. The proportional hydraulic system makes adjustments automatically, enhancing even the newest operator’s grading skills. With the laser grading box one operator can finish-grade up to 50,000 square feet in an eight-hour day. Tractor- and skid steer-mount boxes are available ranging from 48- through 108-inch widths.


EZ-SET tool ensures placement accuracy
The EZ-SET multi-purpose placing tool is an innovative way to place large stones, modular blocks and boulders on landscaping jobsites. Employing a patent-pending clamping mechanism that shifts the weight burden from underneath to the side, the tool eliminates the need for lifting straps, shovels, crowbars and two-by-fours for lifting and placing materials. The tool is available in 1,000- or 3,000-pound capacities.


Kaltec attachment transports heavy material

Brown Bear unveils new horizontal drum cutter
The BC285.5 horizontal drum cutter for trees and brush has a 67-inch cutting width and mounts on skid-steer and mini-track loaders with optional high-flow hydraulics. The cutter is also available in an excavator mount. It utilizes a fixed-tooth design that features spade-type cutters with carbide inserts. The cutters are arranged on the drum for an overlapping cut pattern and can handle hard woods up to 6 or 8 inches in diameter and larger soft woods.


Kasco introduces Vari-Slice seeder
Kasco Manufacturing’s Vari-Slice seeder features front coulter blades that can be left straight to cut through an existing stand of grass or angled to work a patch of ground before seeding. The seed metering system allows planting of most seed sizes and varieties and an optional warm season grass box will plant the hard-to-handle native seeds.


Towable dirt scraper provides earthmoving capabilities
Hoelscher’s new towable dirt scraper attachment turns compact tractors into earthmovers. Designed for 35- to 50-horsepower tractors, the DB Series scrapers are available in 5- and 6-foot cutting widths and will carry up to 1.3 cubic yards. A trunnion-style hitch, mounted to the lower arms of the tractor’s three-point hitch allows for 90-degree turns, with up to 30 degrees of oscillation. The industrial design and compact size make this unit ideal for residential or commercial landscaping.


RockHound introduces 40EXTreme
Weighing more than 1,300 pounds and designed for professional brush-clearing durability, the 40EXTreme attachment is designed for tough brush cutting applications. Features include a cutter drum more than 1⁄2 inch thick, 5⁄8 inch thick mounting ears, 3⁄4 inch thick end plates and an abrasion-resistant plate shroud that is 3⁄8 inch thick. The triple knife design includes a 2-pound knife and a swinging hammer combination.


Reduce compaction in heavy soil
The CA25 series of core aerators by Land Pride help reduce compaction in heavy soil conditions. Available in 5- and 6-foot units, the aerators feature case-hardened 3/4-inch spoons to penetrate the ground to a depth of 41/2 inches, depending on soil conditions. Storage stands are located on all four corners and water tanks are optional.


Gandy offers family of core and knife aerators
Gandy’s new core and knife aerators include models from 4 to 8 feet wide in tow and 3-point hitch models. The 4-foot model has an integral shroud to cover the working tines or knives and is best for smaller sites or rental yards. The 6- and 8-foot professional models are ideal for athletic of playing field maintenance and can be ordered with 3/4-inch coring spoons or with slicing knives.


Venture’s Ventrac KL480 tiller
The KL480 tiller, with 24 high-performance carbon tines, is designed for easy preparation of gardens and lawns. This power-driven font-end attachment allows the operator to easily monitor the tiller’s performance. Designed with Ventrac’s Minute Mount system, the tiller can be attached in a minute or less and comes with a stand for storing the tiller when not in use.


Grapple breaks concrete and lifts trees
Sidney Manufacturing’s Gregory Grappler skid steer grapple is designed to outperform grapple buckets and rakes. The grapple is tough enough to allow its tines to be inserted under unmolested concrete 4 to 6 inches thick, lifting and breaking it. According to the manufacturer, the grapple easily scarifies and rips tough ground and is made from 1-inch high tensile steel.


Pick up rotary broom fits several machines
MB Companies Model LB Pick Up rotary broom features dual casters and rear pivots that let the broom follow surface contours. An adjustable baffle keeps the bristles clean on the 25-inch diameter brush and allows the bucket to fill completely. It is available in 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-foot widths.


Rock bucket removes debris down to 21⁄2 inches
The Rock Bucket, manufactured by Blue Diamond Attachments, attaches to your skid steer and allows you to rake through soil and remove rocks and debris down to 21⁄2 inches, as well as rake up brush and roots. Its tines are made from 3⁄8-inch steel and reinforced by gussets and cross tubes. The bucket is available in a variety of widths.
