General Transmissions introduced the Element V Agility Pro line of drive systems for the professional walk-behind lawn mower market.

Available in five models, the Agility Pro line features:

  • Internal gearings to handle heavier equipment
  • A full range of drive types, including clutchless, cone clutch and automatics
  • Performance that can handle a variety of terrains

The line includes walk-behind, ride-on and snow blower transmissions.

The company also introduced the Element V Power Path transmissions for snow blowers, which is now available for a full range of applications in the North American market.

The line of transmissions is for both single-stage and dual-stage snow blowers.

The transmission uses belts to drive the gears instead of using a hydraulic pump-based system. Because of this, the system requires no warming time.

Five models are in production, including two options for the compact snow blower market with a maximum augur width of 22 inches and operating capacity of 7.5 horsepower. The wheel sizes range from 10 to 13 inches.

The company also offers three Power Path models for dual-stage snow blowers that accommodate augur widths up to 32 inches, deliver 10-15 horsepower and 15- to 16-inch drive wheels.

All of the models use a belt-drive, cone-clutch system for gearless operations and shift-free forward/reverse movement.

Other options include power or intuitive steering for manual or automatic unclutching of one drive wheel.
