Michelin designed its new line of tire tubes to prevent splitting or puncture after installation.
The tubes are 100-percent butyl rubber with an airtight seal to protect the tire from corrosive liquid ballast and serve as a replica of the inner lining of the tire to extend its life.
The tubes are constructed with a single piece of rubber so the design is seamless. Normally, these tubes are created with difference pieces of rubber creating a seam, which can become a weak spot.
The tubes will fit approximately 200 different tire sizes and brands for various equipment.
