LandOpt has appointed Don Evans as its new president. The move comes after former President and CEO Tim Smith announced in August that he was stepping down. Smith continues to serve on the LandOpt board of directors.

Evans has grown up in the green industry, living on a 225-acre family farm in Virginia. He has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs/economics from George Washington University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.

“I am excited to join the LandOpt team and to guide us into the next stages of our growth plan,” Evans said.

With a background as a corporate lawyer, Evans brings a diverse range of experience to the new position, LandOpt’s announcement said, having worked with teams to create sustainable growth in both the manufacturing and service industries.

“We are very excited about the energy and focus Don will bring to our future success and prosperity,” said Ryan Stroup, LandOpt’s sales manager. “We know he will be a tremendous asset to our network.”

LandOpt is a business operating system that works to help landscape contractors reach a higher level of growth. The firm recently introduced a new program tier, offering its services to smaller companies. You can read about that here.
